These terms govern your use of the Twicetold mobile application and website (the "Service"). By using Twicetold, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Twicetold is an AI-powered interactive fiction app. We use artificial intelligence to generate stories in real-time based on your genre selection and choices. Stories are unique and generated on demand — we do not guarantee that any specific content will be produced or that previously generated content can be recreated.

2. Accounts

You can use Twicetold as a guest or by signing in with Google or Apple. If you sign in, your stories and progress sync across devices. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Guest accounts are tied to your device and cannot be recovered if you uninstall the app.

3. Tokens and Purchases

Tokens are the in-app currency used to make choices in stories. Each story choice costs one token. Tokens can be obtained by:

Purchased tokens are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or the policies of Apple or Google. Tokens have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or sold.

4. Premium Subscription

Twicetold Premium is a monthly auto-renewing subscription. It provides unlimited story tokens, unlimited story saves, PDF export, and collector features. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's App Store or Google Play settings.

Pricing is displayed in your local currency before you confirm the purchase. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.

5. Content and AI-Generated Stories

Stories generated by Twicetold are created by AI in response to your choices. While we instruct the AI to produce age-appropriate fiction, AI-generated content may occasionally contain themes, language, or scenarios that some readers find intense or unexpected — particularly in the Horror and Thriller genres.

You retain no copyright or intellectual property rights over AI-generated story content. You are granted a personal, non-commercial licence to read, save, and export your completed stories for your own enjoyment.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit AI-generated stories from Twicetold without our written permission.

7. Rewarded Ads

Twicetold offers optional rewarded video ads as a way to earn free tokens. Ad availability, frequency, and content are managed by our ad partner (Google AdMob) and may vary by region and device. We do not guarantee that ads will always be available.

8. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep Twicetold available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will communicate significant changes through the app or website.

9. Limitation of Liability

Twicetold is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of tokens, or interruption of service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email.
